Current students or individuals with independent licensure in the State of Colorado are encouraged to apply. Provisional licensed candidates will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. A minimum of 10 clinical (contact) hours per week is required for part-time roles, while full-time positions necessitate at least 20 clinical (contact) hours per week. For the role of clinical psychotherapists, you must possess some form of licensure in Colorado. If you are applying for student internships or a practicum position, a background in clinical counseling, psychology, or human services studies/experience is necessary.
Dependable – More reliable than spontaneous, which is essential for clinical counseling roles. Communication – Must have clear and polite communication in written word or verbally, crucial for effective interactions among psychotherapists. Autonomous/Independent – Enjoys working with little direction, making it suitable for student internships. Detail-oriented – Would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture, which is important in clinical settings. Passion to learn – Enjoys self-research, educating, and learning on their own, especially in evolving fields like psychotherapy. Competent/Ethical – Must work consistently with their Ethics Code, aligning with being anti-racist and LGBTQIA+ affirming, which is vital in clinical counseling. Tech savvy – Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning technology systems and programs, enhancing their ability to support clinical practices. Connected – Must have a high-speed, reliable internet connection and uninterrupted space to work, ensuring smooth communication and access to resources in psychotherapeutic settings.
