About

Maggie Daggett MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Candidate & Intern

As someone who is passionate about the journey of an individual in this crazy thing called life, I am so excited to be someone in your life that can walk alongside you and guide you the best I can. I believe that everyone’s pain matters, no matter how big or small, with an emphasis on eliminating the comparison of other individual’s pain. We all matter and are unique in our own ways, and I look forward to exploring your special gifts and unique purpose in life. Through my own journey, I have struggled with acceptance and trust in myself which has led me to pursue a career in counseling where I can focus on who you are, what makes you-you, and how your past experiences are important to consider when moving forward on your healing journey while focusing on the present moment.

Services:

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and younger adults. The development ages and transitions are extremely challenging, which I want to offer a special space for you to explore and accept. I offer in person and telehealth appointments that are flexible with your schedule. I am also involved in group therapy.  I have taken courses for play therapy and counseling children and adolescents which is where I have found the most passion in my career as I get started as a clinical mental health counselor.

Experience:

I am currently in my clinical stages in graduate school for Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Regis University in Thornton, CO. I am so excited to get experience where I can practice more of what I am enthusiastic about. I am currently a crisis text hotline volunteer, which has allowed me to take a step into helping others in crisis which has been very rewarding.

Education:

I attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and graduated with a degree in Human Resource Development with an additional minor in psychology in 2019. I started graduate school at Regis University in January of 2021 and am looking forward to this last year before I get my graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My approach is person-centered with depth psychology, internal family systems work, and some CBT. I am looking forward to learning more about the type of therapist I am when working with individuals like you. In addition to this, it is my goal to become a registered play therapist in the future.

Personal:

I am originally from Minnesota, and I absolutely love everything that Colorado has to offer. I enjoy spending time outside with my dog, Winnie and exploring Colorado. I have been passionate about helping others throughout their journey since I can remember, and I am so excited to be in a career that I can demonstrate this passion. I am so excited to work with you throughout this journey of life.
